BLAS Weekend Walk - From Nanyang Technological University to Pottery Jungle

Singapore
Add to calendar:

🥾 Join us for the BLAS Weekend Walk: Pioneer MRT to Jurong Point!

Join us for a morning walk starting at Pioneer MRT Exit A, taking us through the NTU campus and its rich Nanyang heritage. Along the way, we’ll discover the historic Nantah Arch and explore some of NTU’s iconic spots.

Our highlight will be Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle, home to Singapore’s last active dragon kiln. Built in the 1940s, this traditional wood-fired kiln can reach temperatures of up to 1,300°C and creates unique patterns on pottery through the melting of wood ash.

We’ll finish our walk at Jurong Point, where there will be an option to grab some lunch together. From there, you can easily make your way home via Boon Lay MRT.

Put on your walking shoes, bring enough water and don’t forget your sun protection (and perhaps an umbrella ☔)!

The BLAS Weekend Walking Group welcomes members for free. Non-members pay a SGD 10 guest fee.

📍 Meeting point: Pioneer MRT Exit A
🏁 End point: Jurong Point / Boon Lay MRT

See you there! 🥾⚱️
